About Us
Based in the Tewantin National Park, Noosa Trailblazers is your local Mountain Bike Club. The Club aims to encourage involvement and enjoyment in the sport of mountain biking for both residents of and visitors to the Noosa Shire.
Membership
We offer membership to those who wish to participate in social, recreational or competitive mountain biking, within a club framework. Club activities include monthly social rides open to members and prospective members with options for Women’s only and Junior groups.
Fundraising
We also hold a fundraising ride series known as the Fiver Rides These have proven to be very popular social events where the proceeds are allocated to trail maintenance.
Grants & Advocacy
In addition to volunteer labour, we rely on occasional Noosa Council and State Government grants, which together with individual donations, fund larger trail refresh projects. These club managed work activities ensure the Noosa Mountain Biking community continues to enjoy one of the premier trail riding experiences in South East Queensland.
Competitive Riding
Some members compete in organised Cross Country (XC), Enduro (gravity), or Downhill race events in both a State and National competitions. The Club also seeks to foster overall respect for the natural environment in which the sport of mountain biking takes place.
Trail Care
Our small membership base works to ensure the Wooroi Trail Network is sustainably developed and maintained. At all times we adhere to the guidelines established by land manager Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Multiple times each year we hold Trailcare sessions – usually on a Saturday morning, where both club and community volunteers come together to give the well-used trails some love and care.
